Terms of Use
Last updated 11 September 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of elevatepublishers.com (the “website”), including its free resources, and explain how the Elevate Publishers courses, digital products and community relate to it. We’ve kept them as short and readable as we could.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By using the website you accept these Terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the website. How we handle personal data is explained separately in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

2. About Elevate Publishers
Elevate Publishers is an education business about self-publishing, operated from Italy and serving customers worldwide. It shares what its founder, Dave, has learned from publishing books, through YouTube, free resources on this website, and the Elevate Publishers community on Skool, which includes courses, resources and memberships.
3. The website and free resources
The website is mainly informational. It presents Elevate Publishers and offers free resources, such as worksheets, tools, checklists and templates.
- Free resources are for your own learning and for use in your own publishing business.
- Some free resources are provided in exchange for your email address, which you give voluntarily. The Privacy Policy explains how it is used; marketing emails are only sent if you agree to them.
- Interactive resources save your answers in your own browser. They aren’t backed up anywhere else, so download a copy of anything you want to keep.
- We may update, replace or remove free resources at any time.
4. Courses, digital products and the community
The Elevate Publishers community, its courses and its memberships — currently Standard and Premium — are provided on Skool. What each membership includes is described on the website and on the community’s Skool page at the time you join.
To keep the material useful, we add, update and reorganise courses and resources over time, and occasionally retire ones that are out of date. We won’t change what a membership is in a way that takes away its main benefits while you are paying for it, except where the law allows.
Some benefits give you the chance to submit something — for example a question for the weekly YouTube Q&A, or your book or brand for a chance at a free Amazon listing breakdown on YouTube, where Dave analyses its Amazon page in public and explains what he would do. Submitting doesn’t guarantee that a question will be answered or that a book or brand will be chosen. How submissions are selected, and how selected submissions are used, is explained inside the community.
5. Skool
The community is hosted on Skool, an independent platform. To join, you need a Skool account, and your use of Skool is also governed by Skool’s own Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and other policies. Skool’s terms apply to how the platform works — accounts, checkout, billing and technical features. These Terms apply to the Elevate Publishers content and community.
Your membership is personal to you. Please don’t share your login or give anyone else access to members-only content.
6. Prices and subscriptions
- Checkout. Memberships are purchased through Skool’s checkout. The price, billing period and any other conditions that apply to you are those presented at checkout when you join. We don’t collect or store your payment card details.
- Founding access. Anyone who joins the community on the free Standard plan before 1 October 2026 keeps Standard free for as long as they stay in the community — they are not moved to the paid Standard plan when it launches.
- Other offers. Launch pricing and any other offer apply as described on the website, or inside the community where an offer is announced there, at the time, and as presented at checkout.
- Price lock. Your membership price is locked in when you join, on Standard and on Premium: for as long as you stay subscribed and keep paying, you keep the price you joined at, even if the price goes up for new members as the community and its library grow. The lock ends only if you stop paying and cancel your membership; if you join again later, the price offered at that time applies.
- Cancellation and refunds. Subscriptions are managed on Skool. The cancellation and refund conditions that apply are those presented at checkout and in Skool’s terms, together with any rights you have under mandatory consumer law — including, where it applies to you, the right of withdrawal.
7. Intellectual property
All content created by Elevate Publishers — including courses, videos, texts, worksheets, templates, tools, graphics, the Elevate Publishers name and logo, and the design of this website — belongs to Elevate Publishers or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may use it to learn and to apply what you learn in your own publishing business — for example, filling in a worksheet or using a template to plan your own books. Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- copy, share, publish or redistribute courses, resources or members-only content, in whole or in substantial part;
- resell, license, rent or give them away, including as part of another product, bundle or membership;
- use them to create or train a competing course, product or service;
- remove credits or present our material as your own.
8. Your content in the community
You are responsible for what you post in the community: posts, comments, messages, images, links and anything you submit. Only share content you have the right to share. You keep ownership of it; by posting it, you allow Elevate Publishers to host and display it within the community, as the platform requires.
9. Community conduct
The community works because people treat it well. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone;
- spam, or post unsolicited promotions, repeated self-promotion or affiliate links where they aren’t welcome;
- run scams, misleading schemes or get-rich-quick offers, or ask members for money or personal data under false pretences;
- share anything illegal or infringing, including pirated books, courses or other people’s work;
- share other members’ personal information, or impersonate anyone;
- upload malware or try to disrupt the community or the platform.
We may remove content, and suspend or remove members, where these rules or Skool’s Acceptable Use Policy are broken, in proportion to how serious the breach is. If you see something that breaks these rules, tell us at support@elevatepublishers.com.
10. Educational information only
Everything Elevate Publishers publishes — on the website, in free resources, emails, videos, courses and the community — is general educational information about self-publishing. It is not individual legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment or other professional advice. For decisions like these, speak to a qualified professional in your own country.
11. No guarantee of results
We don’t guarantee any income, royalties, sales, rankings, publishing success or business results. Figures shown on the website, such as Dave’s earnings since 2023 or reviews from customers, describe past results. They are examples, not a promise or a prediction of what you will achieve. Results depend on your books, your market, your effort, timing and factors nobody controls, including decisions made by platforms such as Amazon.
You are responsible for your own publishing and business decisions, including following the rules of the platforms you publish on and the laws that apply to you.
12. Third-party platforms and links
Elevate Publishers relies on, teaches about and links to services run by other companies — including Amazon and Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), Skool, EmailOctopus, Namecheap and YouTube. Each of them is governed by its own terms and policies, which can change at any time. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, decisions or policy changes. Product and company names mentioned belong to their owners.
13. Website availability
We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we can’t promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and because platform rules change often, some content may become out of date. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website.
14. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, which Italian law does not allow to be excluded — or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Within those limits, we are not responsible for losses that result from your own publishing or business decisions, from the use of third-party platforms, or from temporary unavailability of the website, nor for indirect losses that were not foreseeable.
15. Changes to the website and these Terms
We may update these Terms when the website, our offers or the law change. The version on this page, with the date at the top, applies from that date. Changes don’t affect a purchase already made under the conditions presented at checkout, except where the law allows.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Italian law.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law doesn’t take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you normally live, and you can bring proceedings in the courts that mandatory consumer rules make competent — for consumers who live in Italy, the court of their place of residence or domicile.
If you use the website for business purposes rather than as a consumer, the courts of Monza, Italy, where Elevate Publishers has its registered office, have jurisdiction.
Either way, we’d much rather sort things out directly: if something isn’t right, please write to us first.
